Crafted by some of the world’s finest sculptors, the crystal-clear natural ice has been transformed into beloved Moomin characters and enchanting landscapes that captivate visitors of all ages. The Ice Cave also offers fun activities for the whole family through Winterpark's attractions. Moomin 80th Anniversary Exhibition

The theme of the 2025 Moomin Ice Cave celebrates the first-ever Moomin story, The Moomins and the Great Flood, published in 1945. Written in the shadow of World War II, the story portrays a natural disaster threatening the characters' survival and reflects themes of homelessness and uncertainty. Following the journey of Moominmamma and Moomintroll, the tale culminates in the safe haven of Moominvalley, highlighting the importance of hope and togetherness. The door of the Moominhouse is always open.
